i n t e r v i e w

who are you, where do you live, (real name, age)?
I'm René Sánchez Flores and I live in Mexico city.
I'm 22 years old and my birthday is the 28th of September.

what are you doing when you're not playing music, (jobs, other things)?
I had been making parties since 1999 in different parts of Mexico. I finished my career in communications and I'm working in a film also I'm the vocal in a metal band.

how did you come to music, did you play other instruments/music before you came to psytrance (roots)?
In 1992 I started to play drums in a rock band and then I was the vocal in many others, but I started to go to trance parties, and the trance killed me and now I can't scape from it!
Actually I'm djing and I'm starting to produce some tracks.

what is your style, how and when did you come to trancemusic, to producing, to your first gigs?
My style is minimal trance, I like very much a very dancing powerful minimal trance with many percussions and jumping sounds that makes you move like a madman…….. but I play different styles of trance from progressive to aggressive!
I played in different parties in local scene with national artists like Vazik, Ecliptic, Xibalbá and Caravanacid also with international artist like Beat bizarre, Tegma, Dark soho, Haldolium, Sam@chaishop and others.

what is going on in your local scene?
The trance scene in mexico is growing up to fast, so many people is interested in parties, but there is too much people that don't care about the real thing in this………MUSIC!
So I think that scene is taking different ways, making different groups of trance people, the once that really cares about music culture and way of living and the others who only care about drugs and the fashion thing.

what does trancemusic mean for you, how importand is trance for you, what do you use it for?
Trance music is really important in my life because it moves me with a particular beat, so it's my way of living and it's my culture!

what do you think about our scene and where do you think are we going to (development, future trend)?
Definitely all the ways are getting closer, the scene is now bigger and many people are interested in this kind of music, because show us a different image of the world.
A better space for being!

what are your releases/events until now, (discographie)?
I'm working now to have some really nice tracks, and making different projects.

what are your futurities, upcoming releases, upcoming parties?
Whatever……..destiny!

what was the best, funniest or strangest experience in your carreer?
I think that one of my best experiences is to see all the people happy dancing in my parties going out of their usual life and growing together in community!
