who are you, where do you live, (real name, age)?

Shwe Dagon is formed by the couple of Djs Reiaran ( Reinaldo Aranha,29 years) and Déia (Andréia Koch ,23 years). We are living in Curitiba (Parana) Brazil. In addition to which we are married, always we worked together. we began to produce psy music in 2000. Since then we did not stop more to study and dedicating in integral time.

what are you doing when you´re not playing music, (jobs, other things)?

Reiaran and Deia are married since july/2000. Reiaran only work with music and computers , he pass all the time working in tracks and live act, or relaxing listening good tracks by their friends. And Déia, studies Law University and work together with him.

how did you come to music, did you play other instruments/music before you came to psytrance (roots)?

Reiaran starts in 1998 playing psy trance in his friends parties . Deia meet Reiaran in 2000, then begging the project . Deia plays piano and xylophone.

what is your style, how and when did you come to trancemusic, to producing, to your first gigs?

We play psychedelic trance, our dancefloor live p.a style is full on , and our chill out live p.a is dub and ambient relaxing music. We starts with our project in 2000, and the first live we did was in a MTv party ( may/2000). Very nice !!!

what is going on in your local scene?

Here in Brazil the celebrations happen in amazing places with pretty people and sound of great quality. Our brazilian producers are giving to speak in the world scene, like as Spectral Skunk, Digital Progress and Oxyd. And the parties being more and more popular and commercial. But even so, we have many good celebrations ,serious parties and best quality productions here, Brazil.

what does trancemusic mean for you, how importand is trance for you, what do you use it for?

Trance isnt a style of music, its a style of life, art culture . And we want to propagate good energies when we play. Its a single moment for us. We are influence by this spirit and everything that surround us . That make us to goes on our life and produce our work. We looked for ideias along us all the time to creating our histories, what make a original psychedelic spirit with strong rythms.

what are your futurities, upcoming releases, upcoming parties?

Coming soon three unreleased tracks, two by D lab records from Brazil, and one by Kascabell Rec from Mexico. And we are negociating our album to released to begging of the 2005. And will be a party in this end of the year here in Brazil , that´s one of biggest , its Universo Paralelo. We will play a chill out/dub live at there in a beautifull beach at Bahia. That´s will be special for us and our chill out work J

what was the best, funniest or strangest experience in your carreer

The best thing we did were when we played our first production track in a free rave. We went to the dancefloor to dance with all. Amazing!! Was a greatfull time !!! We never forget that feeling J
