who are you, where do you live, (real name, age)?

Frequency: Deluxe is Ken Small and Alex Cornfeld - both 30, both living in Los Angeles California... Shanti is a member when he's around. He lives in Ibiza and is in his early 20s.

what are you doing when you«re not playing music, (jobs, other things)?

Ken is the produce manager at an awesome organic grocery store and Alex
works in the film industry as a producer.

how did you come to music, did you play other instruments/music before you came to psytrance (roots)?

Both of us were djs - Ken was DJ Metro in the early 90s spinning techno/trance long before anyone in the states really knew what that was. I (Alex) started spinning in the mid nineties and immediately got hooked on trance.

what is your style, how and when did you come to trancemusic, to producing, to your first gigs?

We'd like to think our style is unique. It is hard yet still groovy. We both came to making music because it was the natural evolution from spinning it. After one listens to one's record collection as many times as a dj does, one starts to get ideas about how they could do something else, or different.

what is going on in your local scene?

Sadly, not too much. There are a couple of guys throwing parties - they do a good job with what they got, which isn't a lot. The U.S. just doesn't seem to have the psy-scene that the rest of the planet does.

what does trancemusic mean for you, how importand is trance for you, what do you use it for?

Well, we love trance music. It's just the simple - we love it. When we hear a new track that is phat, a grin just spreads across our faces... As for its importance, it's as important as anything one loves in life, which is to say very. And what do we use it for?... I don't know how to answer that. It's part of our life. If one has a dog or a cat that one loves, does one use really use it? It is there, a part of ones life, only to be loved.

what do you think about our scene and where do you think are we going to (development, future trend)?

The scene - we don't know enough about it to make too many judgements about it. But the music keeps moving forward, developing, becoming more sophisticated and we are always excited about that.

what are your releases/events until now, (discographie)?

We have released tracks on Agriglyph, Solar Flares, Spun and Digital Psionics compilations. Our first full album was just released in March on Kagdila Records eponymously titled Frequency: Deluxe.

what are your futurities, upcoming releases, upcoming parties?

We have a new track on Kagdila's next compilation: October 13. As always we are in the studio and are about halfway through our next album. As for parties - We are playing in Portugal in the late summer. Our schedule is not so busy as of this moment. (If anyone wants us... gimme a shout at alex@frequencydeluxe.com or through Kagdila at KagdilaRecords.com)

what was the best, funniest or strangest experience in your carreer?

Our career has just started, so ask us that in a little while...
