SAD NEWS ABOUT MADAGASCAR
After two years of work we now arrive at a moment where unfortunately we must announce the cancellation of the MADAGASIKARA 2001 Eclipse Festival. We can assure you that this decision was a difficult one to make. We understand that the price of air travel to Madagascar may be a bit dissuasive; however, the ensemble of the eclipse, the magnificent environment, the sandy beachSþare not things that you see everyday and merit more than a last minute decision. There were many of you who expressed an interest in the festival; asking questions, communicating with us and even filling out the registration form; however not enough who actually purchased their ticket.

We are the first to be sorry for this.

We the organizers must assume all financial costs of putting on this festival. We feel that we have gone above our capacity to assume these costs and find ourselves obliged to stop. The eclipse will occur at Morombe on June 21, 2001
