To open their African summer season VORTEX bring you their traditional SPIRIT ZONE RECORDS label party on Saturday 01 December 2001.

Mr. Spirit Zone , ANTARO returns to South Africa after two years. He is the owner of Spirit Zone, Germany's top trance record label, and producer of the VOOV EXPERIENCE, the world's largest and oldest trance festival which this year celebrated a 10 year anniversary . He has over twenty years DJ experience and is regarded as one of the father pioneers of the world wide psychedelic trance movement.

FABIO and MAPUSA MAPUSA, who play exclusively as a team also return for their second visit to South Africa after blowing audiences away last year. They featured at the VOOV 2000 EXPERIENCE in Germany and specialize in playing groovy morning trance. DJ SAFFA ( Spirit Zone ) makes his first African appearance providing us with a glimpse of Germany's next generation of cutting edge psychedelic musicians.

South Africa will also get to see a rare live performance from one of Germany's legendary trance acts , SHIVA CHANDRA . This one man band is the brainchild of Daniel Vernuft who has been making psychedelic music for nearly a decade and is best known for his unique style of positive uplifting trance.With five albums released on Spirit Zone to date SHIVA CHANDRA are established as one of the worlds' premier trance acts .

DJ CREATOR ( Interzone - Switzerland ) needs no introduction to South Africa having rocked African trance lovers annually since the AFRICA 2000 Millennium Festival. Owner of Switzerland's top record label INTERZONE RECORDS and headline DJ at the ZOOM Festival. CREATOR also played main-stage at this years VOOV .Cape Towns very own homegrown talent DJ's LOX ( Vortex ), JAMAL ( Vortex ) and JUSTIN ( Freeform SA ) who all featured regularly at last summer's Vortex events will also be playing.

Vortex utilizes naturally beautiful locations in and around Cape Town in an attempt to bring you the perfect fusion of nature, music and technology, This venue is situated on the banks of a pristine , crystal clear river surrounded by mountains with shaded camping.
Take the N2 to airport / Somerset West. Go over Sir Lowry's Pass. Turn left at Perigrine Farm Stall onto R321 Elgin / Grabouw. Take the first turnoff to your right onto the R321 Villiersdorp / Franschoek. Travel for 27 kms until you come to a bridge over the Theewaterskloof Dam. Take the first turnoff to your left after the bridge onto the R45 Franschoek. The venue is 3 kms to your right along the R45.
