This exciting young act has largely been devoted to their studio for the first half of this year. Having proven how "rocking progressive morning Trance" (as the duo dub their sound) can be, Tarsis set new measures with this release.

VACUUM is the acts first album collection of tracks, following their formation in February 1997. The total outcome encompasses a multi-facetted fusion of dancefloor twists. One half of Tarsis is Linus Wessel (25), who began producing EBM and Gothic electronic music nine years ago .
Then in 1993 he started arranging Techno tracks and Ambient. Sebastian Krüger (23) started off as a deejay, playing Punk and Independent.
Since 1994 he has been playing Trance at events throughout Germany. Their first releases together were in the beginning of '97, as Digital Sun on Polytox Recs. Other releases followed in Germany (Higher forms of life/Tantric, ID&T) and Israel (Melodia Rec. & M.D.M.A. music). The "Atomic Children" track marked their debut as Tarsis on the Tathata II compilation (Spirit Zone Recordings) at the end of last year. As their rapid development in sound proves, the two musicians are cultivating fertile ground. Although not loaden with dominating melodic structures, their sound pushes with driving rhythms and original percussive inlays.
The emphasis is on the measure not the mass. Wealthy textures build as the tracks evolve, bubbly, tribal and groovy.
As Tarsis say: "...what matters are the groove and the crazy little noises in the background." The music doesn't blast you away with an overloaded sonic soup, instead Tarsis ingeniously seduce into expanding states of Trance.
The different musical backgrounds of Linus and Sebastian, combined with their individual approach, result in a compelling composition. Their very dancefloor aware musical ears know just when to merge Trance, Techno, Psychedelic licks, Funk, Dub, and Breakbeat elements into a melting pot of aural gold. It's rooty and rocking. Specialised in ripping up dancefloors, Tarsis fit just for those moments when dawn breaks, and dancers board the groove train.
