Shiva Chandra

(Spirit Zone)
Hamburg, germany
Shiva Chandra is Daniel Vernunft,
a musician who started in young age making music. Mainly playing the
piano he learned harmony, improvisation and jazz. In the early 90«s,
after a visit to Manali and a magnificent party flash his interest grew
like a bush of weed. Since then he tuned his old Yamaha synth for new
sounds. Topping that up with an old Atari he created his first trance. It
took him almost three years to see his tracks on compilations and 12Õ.
In1 996 ÒSpicy MomentsÓ was released on Spirit Zone and 18 month later
the album ÒPositiveÓ.
SHIVA CHANDRA keeps up his special style of psy trance. Away from the
mainstream of a rotten hot-pot by Ôtribal goaÕ, which constantly boils
over Ôcos for not reducing the heat after boiling, Shiva Chandra vitamins
keep fresh. ItÕs tasty put together and every tune gets new ingredients
instead to stir the hot-pot over and over. Obvious are Shiva Chandra
roots of ethnic sounds like flutes, vocals, percussions and more, even
though he puts his accent in new direction like filtered saxophones,
plucked pianostrings, and classic parts.

Shiva Chandra appeals to all those who«re searching for a sound to dance,
listen and relax to...and those who put techno into a category of monoton
and `bassliny` bang...bang...bang...
