URGENT! HELP A FAMILY REBUILD THEIR HOME AFTER DISASTER (Nicaragua)

This October, our organisation received a disaster relief request from Maritza Centeno from the Matagalpa community in Nicaragua, one of our Indigenous Invitees at the Tribal Gathering whose family’s home was destroyed this month.

It is essential to clear everything up and rebuild as soon as possible. Until then a temporary accommodation will be needed for the struggling family.

Every donation gets us a step closer to helping provide a safe home for this family.

SEND A SMALL GIFT TO AN UNDER-PRIVILEGED CHILD (Panamá)

This one never gets old! Our annual childrens festive season fundraiser is our all time favourite and definitely the most fun! So lets gather again this year and give the underprivileged kids from Panamanian indigenous communities a holiday season to remember!

Send a small gift to a kid living under the poverty line and brighten their holiday season! It is never too early to start preparing for the holiday season, after all… Santa’s little helpers work all year round! ;)

-STORIES FROM MY VILLAGE-ERUTILIA’S STORY (Panamá)

Meet Erutilia, a 32 year old girl with Down, who is also a single mother of the cutest little girl, Senen.

Sadly, due to her condition, the girl needs medical attention on regular basis.

Help us provide for travel costs and bare necessities for this little family.

MATERNAL & CHILDREN WELFARE (Emberá-Wounaan-

We are raising funds for the disadvantaged indigenous women and children from remote areas of Panama, who often have no access to places with infrastructure and trained medical staff.

This is our largest active project, please consider single or reccuring donation to help them!

EMERGENCY DROUGHT RELIEF AYMARA LLAMA HERDERS (Bolivia)

We're working on a water emergency relief project in Bolivia, with our friend Tomas Huanacu Tito from the Aymara indigenous people.

Ruthless effects of climate change are obvious throughout the region, causing a terrible drought that has dried out the lake and all the water wells.

If they don’t find water soon, they may need to leave their ancestral lands in search of it.

The water tables have dropped so they want to hire excavators to dig deeper wells for the llamas and herders to drink from, enabling them to survive until the rains return after the dry season.

Let´s join forces together and bring the needed mechanisation to help them find water again. save the llamas and their herders!

SHELTERING DISPLACED NGÄBE-BUGLÉ FAMILIES (Panama)

In July 2021 our team received a call for urgent help from the Panamanian Ngabe-Buglé indigenous people.

They are one of many indigenous peoples, who are facing serious land issues and find themselves in a very complicated legal situation. All of this has resulted in Ngabes being forcibly removed from their ancestral land.

Currently, they are homeless and with our organisation's help, they have been attempting to find ways to set up a temporary shelter next to the loud and dusty Pan-American Highway. The living conditions there are dehumanising, but it is all they've got until their land dispute is resolved, which sadly doesn’t seem very hopeful…

GeoParadise

GeoParadise works with native communities to preserve their cultural identity and welfare, creating a cooperative network to facilitate connections between communities in need and those with resources and skills to share.

GeoParadise is a 501(c)3 Public Charity based in the U.S. that has been working with native communities throughout the world since 2011. GeoParadise encourages and supports indigenous communities to participate in its main annual event "Tribal Gathering" to share, learn, and connect with one another and to propose project ideas that they would like to see implemented in their villages to improve their livelihoods while preserving their culture and natural habitat.

GeoParadise charitable goals are to assist in providing basic necessities, and education and to promote art, culture and civic engagement. We aim to create programs which will have a lasting effect, helping to develop long-term sustainability within the communities we work with. The programs are primarily facilitated by GeoParadise and its world-class volunteers, but also in cooperation with other non-profits, schools, foundations and social enterprises.

Tribal Gathering

Tribal Gathering is the main charitable program of GeoParadise and a platform for cooperation where our indigenous outreach projects are inspired. Get involved and give back to those disadvantaged communities throughout the year!

Once a year 60 tribes from 30 countries come together to share their knowledge with each other, artists, teachers and attendees from all over the world. Tribal Gathering is so much more than a music festival. It’s 18 day’s on a Caribbean beach, around 200 workshops and presentations, hundreds of musicians from around the world, a learning journey from the ancient to the modern and one of the worlds most important indigenous cultural celebrations.

The first half is dedicated to the tribes with several zones offering workshops, ceremonies and indigenous music. There are also non indigenous presentations on topics like art and music, sustainable development and agriculture, health and nutrition, socioeconomic issues and more. Slowly the pace picks up and we seemingly travel through time to the finale of five days of electronic music and what might be described as our modern rituals of dance, art and creativity.
